Cookie Policy

Short version: Quiet Path doesn't use cookies. It uses your browser's local storage to save your data on your own device, which is what makes the app work at all — including fully offline. Nothing here is used for tracking, advertising, or analytics.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a website can ask your browser to store, usually to remember who you are across visits or to track behavior for analytics and advertising. "Local storage" is a similar browser feature, but it's not automatically sent to a server on every request the way cookies are — it just sits in your browser until the app (or you) clears it.

Cookies we use

None. Neither the offline version nor the web version (PWA) sets any cookies.

Local storage we use

These are strictly necessary — the app can't function without them, since they are the app's core feature (saving your data on your device instead of on a server):

Note: these internal storage names still use the app's original "steady-days" naming from before it was renamed to Quiet Path. That's cosmetic — it doesn't affect what's stored or how it's used.

Because these are strictly necessary for the service you're using (not for tracking, marketing, or analytics), we don't need to ask your permission for them — only tell you about them, which this page does. You can clear them any time via your browser's settings, or with Clear all data inside Quiet Path's Settings (clearing data never affects your license — that's stored separately).

Offline caching (protected/PWA version only)

The web version (PWA) uses a service worker to cache the app itself (its code, icons, and manifest) so it can be installed to your home screen and opened without a connection. This is a browser caching mechanism, not a cookie, and it's never used to store or track your planning data. Your license check is deliberately excluded from this cache — it always goes to the network live.

Third-party resources

Loading either version of the app doesn't fetch anything from third-party trackers. The only outside connections are:

• Payhip, only when you purchase — their checkout pages set their own cookies under their own policy once you're there.
• Our own server, only in the web version (PWA), only once, to check your license key.

How to control this

You're always in control:

• Use Backup inside Quiet Path to save a copy of your data before clearing anything.
• Use Clear all data inside Settings, or your browser's own "Clear site data" setting, to remove everything Quiet Path has stored.
• Most browsers let you block local storage entirely for specific sites — note that Quiet Path won't be able to save your actions, brain dump, or victories if you do this, since that's the mechanism it relies on.
